Pirates! Legends of the Gulf Coast at 2313 Harborside Dr., Galveston. Features a permanent pirate exhibit and optional tour of the Haunted Mayfield Manor. Cost: $10 for adults, $6.75 for children ages 5 to 13. Children younger than 5 are free.
Pirates Bay Waterpark open through Labor Day at 5300 East Road, Baytown and features pirate-themed activities and rides. Cost: $20 for adults and children taller than 4 feet and $15 for children shorter than 4 feet.
The Little Mermaid: A Broadway Musical 7:30 p.m. June 28 to July 1 and 2 p.m. July 1 and 2 at Lone Star College North Harris 2700 W. W. Thorne Blvd., Houston. Cost: $15.

Pedal boat rentals from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday through Sunday at Hermann Park, 1700 Hermann Drive, Houston. Cost: $10 for four riders.
Summer Twilight Pontoon Tours on Buffalo Bayou from 6 to 8:30 p.m. June 18, July 16 and Aug. 20. at 150 Sabine St. Houston. Cost: $7 for adults and $5 for children ages 4 to 12.
Downtown Aquarium 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday at 410 Bagby St. Houston. Little pirates will love the shipwreck exhibit as well as games, rides and dining options. Aquarium Exhibit cost: $11.99 for Adults, $8.99 for children under 42 inches. Children under 2 are free.
Houston Zoo 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. every day at 6200 Hermann Park Dr. The zoo’s aquarium is immediately to the right after the ticket entrance. Be sure to also stop by the Carruth Natural Encounters Exhibit north of the Reflection Pond, where kids can crawl through a water tunnel for up-close fish encounters. Cost: $17 for adults, $13 for children ages 2 to 11, children under 2 are free.
Moody Gardens 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day at One Hope Blvd. Galveston. Stop by the aquarium or visit the new SpongeBob SquarePants 3D submarine adventure. Cost: $17.95.
